| Kilcullen proved if you keep concentration for 90 minutes you will reap the rewards when there's a lapse in concentration from the opposition even with the last kick of the the game. Moone didn't do themselves any favours as they were reduced to 10 men after 10 minutes when a second yellow was handed out. Kilcullen piled on the pressure for the next twenty minutes but Moone's defence stood firm and the sides went in 0-0 at half time with the visitors finishing the stronger. Moone emerged a determined team but were dealt a cruel blow with a penalty decision against them on 55 minutes of which Kilcullen dispatched to the net. The visitors didn't take it lying down and were back piling pressure on Kilcullen for the next twenty minutes when Mick Clowery hit the net for Moone on 75 minutes to leave an exciting 15 minutes to play for. Moone looked to be heading for a very well deserved point away from home but for the late lapse of concentration to let them down when a mistimed back pass allowed an alert Kilcullen forward to take full advantage. A bad result for a good performance from Moone who will be determined to make amends on their next outing. Best for Moone were Anthony Hegarty, John Lazenby, Kevin Anthony and Aaron McMahon. |
